 WP Tri Champs – Jailbreak Registration – ASA Licenses

 

This is just a quick update with important information you will require this week.

 

On-line entries for WP Triathlon Champs, to be held on Sunday 7 December at Val de Vie will close at Midnight tomorrow, Tuesday 2 December 2014.  Late entries will be accepted on the day, providing that there are still slots available.  The Age Group field will be limited due to start group and traffic restrictions.

The second event in the Tribetri kids / junior triathlon series also take place at Val de Vie on Sunday.  From what we’ve heard, the first event at Slaleys was a huge success.

 

If you still want to register with TSA before WP Champs or Jailbreak, please do so right away as this has to be completed before midnight on Tuesday as well.  If you have registered and paid through ATC recently, your application will be submitted to WPTA today or tomorrow.

 

Only holders of a TSA Full Racing license will be elligible for selection into the WP Team to compete at SA Triathlon Championships.  If you have a Recreational TSA Licence and want to upgrade it to a Full Licence, this must also be done by the same cut-off date.

You will also need your TSA License number when collecting your Jailbreak bucket on Saturday at Jailbreak Registration.

 

Non WPTA/TSA registered athletes can also enter WP Champs but will have to pay a temporary licence of R 100.00 for the Olympic distance and R 30.00 for the sprint distance.

 

2015 Running Licenses will be available at track tomorrow (Tuesday) evening.  These may only be used at events from 1 January 2015 onwards.  We will have some at the track next Tuesday.  Please order your 2015 ASA License on-line from Tri SPaza and ensure that you have renewed your ATC Running or ATC Multisport membership for 2015.

 

Entries for these events open on Thursday, 4 December, at 10:00.  Entries is expected to sell out by lunch time.

 

Tomorrow (Tuesday) morning at 05:30 we will do a ROAD BIKE ride from Point Virgin Active.  The Mountain Bike ride will be on Thursday at 05:30 from the Wembley Virgin Active.

 

Tuesday track will be back to normal this week with a session at 06:00 and at 18:00, on the field below The Bungalow.

 

The Friday Canal Swim will take place at 06:00.
